The PKR Super Series is finally coming to a close. The event was a series of tournaments that all culminated into a final event, the Tournament of Champions. There were 14 regular tournaments, and a different person won each one.
The Tournament of Champions is comprised of all the winners of the regular Series events, with the winner receiving a $13,000 package to play in a European Poker Tour event in Barcelona, Spain. The 14 series tournament winners will square off for this grand prize on August 5, a week from today. Also, the top 5 players overall during the Super Series will also gain entry to the Tournament of Champions, even if they didn't win an individual event.
Now, although only the winner of the Finale will be going to Barcelona, every series winner got something special. Besides the money they won from winning their respective tournaments, each winner of a Super Series tournament received a custom engraved silver bracelet with the PKR user name on it. This is a similar theme to the World Series of Poker, and will surely make a nice keepsake for the players.
Besides the Tournament of Champions, there is one event remaining for the PKR Super Series. It's the Fourplay Freeroll, and will be held on Wednesday, August 1st. This freeroll has a $5,000 prize pool and is open to anyone who played 3 Super Series events plus the Main Event tournament. There will be a limited number of players in this, so it should be a huge payout for many players.
I hope to see you in these tournaments, and keep checking back for more PKR news and events.
