The Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) is visiting Thanet on October 16, and PKR.com is trying to send as many possible players to the event as possible to represent the 3D poker site. PKR Adds New Deposit Options
PKR.com has recently added several new deposit options to give players more methods of getting money from their pockets to the online poker site. PKR Charity Event For Children
One to One Children's Fund is a great charity that focuses on helping disadvantaged children all over the world. PKR.com joined in with this charity on Sunday as they hosted a poker tournament and raised a great deal of money.
The tournament was held at London's Sketch restaurant and they raised funds around £200,000. The buy-in for this tournament was very creative as it cost each player £365 which would give one child £1 a day for a year. Non-players were also invited and they were able to enjoy champagne while bidding in the auction. Some great prizes were up for bid such as a signed Harry Potter book.
Some well known celebrities even competed in the poker tournament such as James Oliver and Dexter Fletcher. These celebrities did not have an easy road as they had to compete against some well known European pros such as John Tabatabai and Women's World Open Champ Beverley Pace.

The Tournament Trail May 12-18
The PKR open had many weekly tournaments with $10,000 Guarantees. The cash was divided up in a number of different ways.

Player Leonardshelby took it down for $3,097 as he defeated a field of 412 players. Leonardshelby's win was not a fluke as he would find another Final Table in Tuesdays $10,000 Guar.

Oceanindien found himself a winner after outlasting 394 other players to capture a victory of $2,955. Oceanindien has been having some impressive finishes as he final tabled the Saturday Showdown and the Sunday Classic. He also added a 12 in the April Masters as he just missed out on another final table. Other notable finishes include a 2nd place finish by Blakmenba, 5th place by Tassen77, and a 6th place finish by Northy.
Wednesdays Tournament- $10,000 Guar.- Terminator Bounty
The tournament featured a $10,000 prize pool with 6 $100 bounties. The Final Table of this event had some of PKR's top players alongside with 2 bounties. Callmeraoul made a nice call as PKR_Jabba tried to bluff making the heads up match rather short. He raked in a total of $4,901 as he took down some major money with the bounties. Other notable finishes include Fallenangel, who finsihed 4th. Spazpecker has made his name known amongst this tourney as he has finished 2nd, 23rd, and 3rd all in consecutive weeks. The tournament has been getting a great turn out and is growing rapidly.

Two experienced players ended heads up as the Swiss Osteomat was challenged by the Dane Paledane. Osteomat was ranked 2nd in overall MTT rankings yet he could not overcome the Dane.

Giansanti was able to claim the title and Im sure Alacartebud will be happy with his $3,503 award for second place. The event will air later with hole cards being shown along with commentary.
Sundays Tournament- Classic $25,000 Gaur.
Once again the Final major of the week attracted 455 players. The first place prize was $7,000 and Papachanga was in the hunt was again as he made two straight final table, but fell short as he captured a 10th place finish. Goodyin and Redshape found themselves heads up. Last week goodyin finished 15th and once again could not pull off the victory allowing for Redshape to claim the $7,000 prize.
It was another great week of tournaments and many exciting finishes took place!

Promising May for PKR
It seems like ever month PKR does something that impresses me. This month PKR is giving television exposure to their $20k Sunday Showdown and their $5k Guaranteed. The final tables of both events will be televised and broadcast from the PKR Cast Team. This is really a step forward for them as they should get some great exposure. PKR Makes Big Claims in Email
If you happen to be on the PKR.com mailing list then you received an email today that certainly caught your eye, just like it caught mine. PKR sent out a spiffy looking graphic email that said "What's The Big Idea?" and the email was titled This Is Big. So, what is this big idea all about?
Well, apparently PKR thinks that they're getting up there with the big dogs in England when it comes to online gaming sites. At the bottom of the email, they say they want to be big, "As big as Betfair and Ladbrokes." For those of you who don't know, Betfair and Ladbrokes are the two major online gambling companies in England that cater to the English market.
So, is PKR just getting a big head, or do they actually have something to talk about? I did a little research, and at the time of this posting there are 1,050 real money cash table players on PKR, one of the highest totals I've ever seen at the site. At Ladbrokes, a site that routinely exceeds 1,000 cash game players, there were 950 active cash table players online. And at Betfair there were 906 real money ring game players online.
When I saw this information, I was shocked. PKR, only launching within the past year or two, has already eclipsed the two giants in the England online poker market. So apparently, the claims they're making in their email aren't far off at all, and are actually already true. Great job PKR, you're really making strides!

PKR.com has announced a slew of new freerolls that players can gain real money experience in without having to make a deposit. 3D Poker Seeing Growth

PKR Runs Terminator Tournaments
PKR is running new tournaments that are attracting tons of players because of the big twist. They look just like a normal tournament, and feel just like a normal tournament, but there is one big change. Every player you knock out is worth extra money to you, so everyone is going for the knockout blow. You can really take advantage of this, and we'll get into how to win these below...
How it works is that everyone in the tournament has a bounty on their head, and if you knock a player out, you win the money that was his bounty. Also, every time you knock someone out, your bounty increases as well, so you become a more worthwhile prize for your opponents. The bounty prize pool comes right from the main prize pool, and is usually about 50% of the total prize. So, in a $10 tournament, $5 will go to the prize pool, and $5 will go to your bounty.
Besides the MTT terminator games, there's also a Terminator Two style game, where it is a heads up tournament with bounties on everyone's head. As you knock out your heads up opponent and face a new one, your bounty increases as well. These tournaments also reward you with PKR points depending on the tournament fee.
The final terminator game that PKR offers is the Terminator sit and go. In this one, it is a normal one table sit and go, but 100% of the prize pool goes to bounties. So, your only goal in this game is to knock people out. You could get 4th, which would normally be a losing place, but if you knocked out the other 6 people you'd have won a big amount. In this game, focus on the knockout.

We Test Out PKR Support System
When it comes to online poker customer support is a huge part of whether a room succeeds or flops. PKR Updates 2K Bonus Requirements

Phase Tournaments Running at PKR
PKR has just released a new way for players to turn a small bankroll into a large one without even using a huge PKR deposit bonus. It's called "Phase Tournaments", and it's a similar idea to Party Poker's step tournaments. How it works is that you can start in any phase sit and go you want, and all of the phases lead up to the final 5th phase, where the winner of the sit and go takes down $700.
So for example, if you buy into a Phase 1 sit and go for $3.60 and take 1st or 2nd, you advance to Phase 2 which is a $10.75 sit and go. Or, if you finish 3rd-5th in the Phase 1 sit and go, you get to repeat the Phase 1 for another shot at making it to Phase 2.
This theme reoccurs throughout each phase, with the top finishers advancing to the next phase, and the middle of the pack getting another shot. Also, once you get to the higher phases, the 7th place finisher drops down a phase but gets to continue playing.
